Rockstar have always been innovative with their games, and Red Dead Redemption is no exception. Set during the turn of the 20th century, RDR is a Western epic in the form of a video game, a genre that few developers have succeeded in. Of course, Rockstar rose to the challenge, and have created an expansive world of lawless and chaotic badlands, gradually falling under government leadership.
Follow the story of John Marston, a former outlaw, as he travels across the American frontier. Forced into bounty hunting by the government, he sets out to hunt down his former gang members in order to bring them to justice. Track down John’s ex-colleagues and bring them to justice, but will he be able to carry out the justice the government wants, and will that be the end of the turmoil in his life?
With an average rating of 95% on Metacritic, 9.7/10 from IGN and a perfect 10 from the Official Playstation Magazine, Red Dead Redemption is one of the most highly rated games of recent years, and described as a ‘game that everybody must play’ by Video Gamer. Having won multiple ‘Game Of The Year’ awards during 2010, Red Dead Redemption is also one of the most commended games of 2010, and possibly of all time.
