Released in the Summer of 2009, Arkham Asylum was praised by critics as ‘the best license game ever’ and a ‘must buy.’ Scoring a 9.2 rating from major gaming website IGN and similar excellent reviews from other websites, this title is arguably one of the best-rated titles ever to be released on the Playstation 3.
In this Batman release, you can explore the large area that is Arkham Island at will, from the high-security prison cells to Arkham Mansion. Taken over by the Joker’s goons, it’s your job to track down the Joker, along with taking down many more of Batman’s archenemies along the way. Featuring the likes of The Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, it won’t be easy to get to the Joker, and find out the meaning behind the mysterious events happening on Arkham Island following the mass break-out.
Only Batman can stop him, but you’re well equipped. Use Batarangs and close-quarters combat to take down enemies, use the Bat Claw to get to hard-to-reach but stealthy corners, use explosive gel to break through walls, and use the line launcher to travel huge distances or avoid huge drops. Upgrade your items and abilities as you progress through the game to become the ultimate hero, and stop the Joker’s villainous plans before it’s too late.
