The Dualshock 3 utilizes Bluetooth technology to connect to the PS3 console, which allows for an incredibly long range, allowing you to control the console from anywhere in the room (or house, in some cases!). Bluetooth allows a connection even through objects, so obstacles between the console and controller should not affect the connection, allowing uninterrupted gaming.

Uninterrupted gaming is also helped by the built-in rechargeable battery inside every Dualshock 3 controller. Charge by plugging in a micro USB cable, there is no need to purchase batteries , rechargeable or otherwise. This could save hundreds of dollars over the life of the controller on batteries alone.
